Let’s continue our learning about prepositions that tell something about the time.  This time we will learn about using the preposition i.

One of the uses of the preposition is to indicate something that has happened or is happening at this particular time. By time we mean today, yesterday, this year, this summer, etc. Some of the examples below should make things more clear.

I am at the school today.

Another way of using the preposition is in sentences that indicate something that happened in the past and is no longer happening, something that has happened and is continuing, or something that will happen in the future

Jeg har vært her i fem dager.

Hun var hjemme i to dager.
