When you learnt about Norwegian nouns and articles, an important point was mentioned about nouns.

Many times we can have two nouns that are combined to form a new noun. Such nouns use the gender of the second noun in the combination.

So it’s time to learn how to form compound nouns or sammensatte ord. As mentioned above, note that the compound noun takes the gender of the second (or last) of the combined nouns. Also note that some of them use an extra joining character like e or s.
