So you are invited to a party and it’s time to shop for some clothes. And we are going to improve our Norwegian as we do it. So grab your wallets/purses and let’s get going.
To begin with here are some words for your vocabulary. You may already know some of them when you learnt about shopping for food in Norwegian.

You find a nice looking clothes shop and enter it. There you start looking at the different varieties of clothes available. Just then the store employee walks up to you.

| Du: Nei takk, jeg bare kikker | You: No thanks, I am just looking around. |
After a while, you find a dress that you like. You go to the employee and inquire about it.

| Ansatt: Den koster 250 kroner. | Employee: It costs 250 krones. |
| Ansatt: Hvilken størrelse bruker du? | Employee: Which size do you use? |

| Ansatt: Ja, da passer denne. | Employee: Yes, this is OK. |
| Ansatt: Prøverommet er der borte. | Employee: The trial room is there. |
