A pronoun is called as pronomen in Norwegian. A pronoun is something that can be used in place of a noun. Pronouns are one of the most important part of the grammar and you should learn these well.

Let’s continue with our lessons on pronouns. We have already learnt about personal pronouns in part 1. This lessons shows a polite form of the personal pronouns.
But first let us look at the regular way of using pronouns. This is used when we speak with people we are familiar or friendly with.

| Er det bilen din? | Is it your car? |
| Er det veska di? | Is it your purse? |
| Er det huset ditt? | Is it your house? |

Now let us look at the polite way of using pronouns. This is used when we speak with people we aren’t familiar with for example, when we meet people for the first time or we are meeting the President!

Note that in the polite form of the pronoun, we tend to use the plural form of the pronoun starting with a capital letter.
