This post will show you how to use some pronouns when you want to point out to something or someone. The pronouns that we use for this purpose are shown below.

To point far away	den	det	de
To point near by	denne	dette	disse

As shown above, den, det, de are used when we want to point out to something that is far away. Denne, dette, disse are used to point out to something that is near by. Below are some examples that should make things clearer.

Norwegian	English
Den bilen er min.	That car is mine.
Den boka er min.	That book is mine.
Det huset er mitt.	That house is mine.
De bilene er mine.	Those cars are mine.
Denne bilen er min.	This car is mine.
Denne boka er min.	This book is mine.
Dette huset er mitt.	This house is mine.
Disse bilene er mine.	These cars are mine.
